I'm very excited as this is my first new entry in my all new photolog. You will find other pictures with dates prior to this one but they are my legacy shots from my fotolog.net account. I grew tired of being lost under a deluge of Brazilian party pictures and figured that it was time to be ignored on my own terms. There are some really dedicated photographers on fotolog.net whose work is inspiring but there's way too much background noise generated by teenagers with webcam equipped phones which I find way too distracting.
So, I bit the bullet, bought my own domain (an 'in' joke that no one seems to get but me), took advantage of 1and1.com's free 3-year hosting offer and set up movable type to do the heavy lifting. I hope you approve of the clean, simple layout; this is in part due to my limited experience with MT's templates, part due to the limited time I had to set this up and part due to impatience to finish with the setup and get started with posting. I am using MT in its vanilla form to create this photolog and, although it will take some time to get used to the work flow of manually posting pictures and entries, so far I like the control MT gives me.
Of course, there is no "you" yet. No browsers, no viewers, no readers - just me shooting entries out into the electric ether. Not that that is too much of a concern to me yet but I guess it's time to put up an entry page for my domain, invite google to hit me and allow myself to be found by the persistent. The less persistent I'll go fishing for later. |
