My wife discovered the movie "Once", and took me along the second time she went to see it. We're both fans now. "Swell Season" played the Noe Valley Ministry on Saturday night. We were trying to cop tickets for the last 3 weeks ... unsuccessfully. Fortunately, they played a free show at Amoeba Records on Saturday afternoon and they were incredibly impressive, powerful and genuine. 100 street cred' points to Mr Hansard for playing the most beat up acoustic guitar I've ever seen, which is a movie star in its own right. |
